On Monday John and I went house hunting.
The place we checked out is quite an upgrade from where we normally call home. By upgrade I mean it’s a mere twelve years older and the price is a mere $9,000 cheaper. Yep, we saw a van by the side of the road that caught our fancy.
I did the living in a Rav4 down by the (insert location, I’ve probably done it) thing since I became a civilian in 2010. It was spacious, comfortable, and incredible…but that was when there was only one adult human being living in the vehicle with the two furballs.
Now there are two.
John and I have lived in the Rav4 together for months at a time up and down the west coast and across the country on three separate occasions. It was still spacious (albeit a little less so), still comfortable (for me, since I wasn’t sleeping on the wheel well), and ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!
However, we’ve been thinking of heading to the Everglades this fall to be guides where it’s warm. For that style of potentially hot vehicle living, we thought an upgrade could be in order.
Dreams of shelving and shag pads abound. Personalizing, customizing, painting, decorating.
We took her for a test drive.
She leans hard to the left.
Her tires are ….eh.
She likes gas.
She’s a ’92, so there are electrical components that we’d have to get fixed at a shop. :/
Michael Johnson didn’t begin his running career wearing gold spikes.
She gets taken for her inspection Tuesday.
I think we may just see her again on Tuesday!
SO SO SO SO SO SO EXCITED!!!!
